Spine Lumbar Microdiscectomy

I have been an orthopedic surgeon for more than 10 years. My practice is limited to the treatment of spinal disorders. My passion for raising the bar in the way medical care is delivered convinced me to embrace innovative technologies and minimally invasive techniques. I performed the first true minimally invasive sacro-iliac joint fusion in the world. I have also had several national firsts replacing spinal discs. To enhance outcomes and patient experience, I moved most of my practice to the ambulatory setting in 2009. Now most procedures can be done as an outpatient, free of the disease and infection of the hospital setting, all at a greater cost savings for those receiving treatment. I volunteer my time advocating for patient access to quality medical care and sit on the Board of Directors for the International Advocacy for Spine Patients, the not-for-profit arm of the International Society for the Advancement of Spine Patients, the world's largest spine surgeon society. I also volunteer time for the American Board of Spine Surgery and have served as Treasurer and examiner of new candidates.
